Cindy was a mama herself and sadly lost two of her kittens. Her remaining three babies were eventually adopted, leaving Cindy without the family she had cared for.
Then she found CeCe.
Dosidos, aka CeCe, was also a young mama who had experienced loss. She had been found with her kittens after one of her babies was tragically lost. When these two mamas met, something clicked.
Now, you’ll often find Cindy and CeCe walking side-by-side around the Catfé, rubbing their heads together and intertwining their fluffy tails. It’s as though they know they’ve both been through something the other understands.
Both girls are reserved and need a patient person who will approach slowly and give them time to trust. Once you begin petting them, they relax and genuinely enjoy the affection.

CeCe was found in a backyard with her three kittens. Tragically, a dog got one of the babies, leaving her with two. We brought them into rescue right away, and CeCe proved to be a wonderful, devoted mama. Her two kittens were eventually adopted together, leaving CeCe behind.
Then she found Cindy.
Somehow, these two seem to understand exactly what the other has been through. 🥹
Today, CeCe and Cindy can often be found walking side-by-side around the Catfé, rubbing their heads together and intertwining their tails. It’s one of the sweetest things to watch.

Stan Lee is the quieter, more reserved brother, but underneath that shy exterior is a wonderfully loving boy. He’ll come find you in bed or throughout the day, give you the look that says he wants pets and cuddles, and if you don’t respond quickly enough, he’ll happily vocalize his request.
Stan likes you to make the first move. He won’t simply jump into your lap like his brother Tony, but he gives you all the cues you need. Once you start petting him, he’s happy to soak up the attention. He’s truly a polite little gentleman who just wants you to invite him in.

Thankfully, Storm was rescued before she ever had to spend a day out in those brutal temperatures. She has been safe indoors ever since, patiently waiting for the person she can finally call her own.
This little girl is incredibly sweet. She loves her pets, loves being carried around like a baby, and absolutely adores attention. More than anything, Storm wants a forever person of her very own—someone who will love her as much as she loves them.

They were found in a vacant apartment, with three of the kittens having their umbilical cords wrapped around each other’s legs. The situation was incredibly stressful, and Chapel became so overwhelmed by her screaming, tangled kittens that she r

Chapel was just a kitten herself when she gave birth to four tiny kittens. They were found in a vacant apartment, with three of the kittens having their umbilical cords wrapped around each other’s legs. The situation was incredibly stressful, and Chapel became so overwhelmed by her screaming, tangled kittens that she ran away.
Thankfully, we were able to find Mama Chapel and reunite her with Destiny a few days later. Sadly, despite immediate and urgent veterinary care, three of the kittens passed away at just two days old. Destiny was the sole survivor.
From then on, Chapel and Destiny became inseparable.
Their relationship is truly remarkable. Chapel “talks” to Destiny in a sweet little trilling voice, and Destiny seems to understand exactly what her mama is saying. When Destiny was learning to use the litter box, Chapel would actually carry her to it and talk her through the entire process. Even now, Mama Chapel still talks to her girl.
Chapel can be a little timid if approached too quickly and may run at first, but once you begin petting her, she completely melts. With a little patience and a gentle approach, she shows you just how sweet she really is.

Guinness is a handsome boy with a heart as big as his personality. His story began just before St. Patrick’s Day, when a local garbage man found this tiny kitten inside a dumpster behind Walgreens. Knowing the little guy needed help, he went inside the store and asked if anyone could take the kitten. Guinness truly had the luck of the Irish that day!
Guinness was eventually introduced to Cole, and the two immediately hit it off. They aren’t brothers, they didn’t arrive at the rescue together, and they aren’t even related — but somewhere along the way, they chose each other. He lives with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), which basically means his internal GPS has a built-in dance beat! His signature "wobbly walk" and adorable head tilt only add to his charm. He might sway, he might stumble, and he might take a scenic detour when trying to walk in a straight line, but his confidence? 100/10. He moves through life like he owns the place, completely unbothered by a little extra wobble.

Indy had a broken femur and needed immediate surgery to repair his leg. Thankfully, his recovery was nothing short of amazing. The plate in his hip grew with him, and today, you would never know this sweet boy had ever been injured. He walks, runs, and plays as if nothing ever happened.
When Indy first arrived, he was a tiny, frightened kitten who didn’t know if he could trust people. But with patience, love, and time, he blossomed into the sweetest, soft-hearted boy. Indy isn’t an alpha cat—he’s gentle, tender, and happiest when he feels safe and loved.
